NOB 2016

The much Anticipated Christian Event dubbed ‘Night Of Bliss’, scheduled to be hosted in Ghana on the 5^th of February 2016, at the Independence Square, located in the country’s capital; Accra, finally came on and it was very powerful, as the Man of God; Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome stormed the coasts of Accra with his crew on Thursday; the 4^th of February, so full of God’s anointing and healing grace.

The program ‘Night of Bliss’, has really touched and transformed the lives of many people across the world, since it has been hosted in various parts of the world in previous years. This year began and carried on the franchise, as the people of South Africa got their ‘Night of Bliss’ in the month of January; with reports of more life changing stories and more transforming testimonies of God’s healing Power. Ghanaians were not left out of God’s perfect plan, since the month of February came and the said date arrived graciously for all who were eagerly waiting to be partakers of God’s healing atmosphere.

 Although the program was hosted in Accra – Ghana, other people joined in from Europe, America, the United Kingdom, Asia and other parts of Africa. For this reason, some Ghanaians together with other Africans camped out at the Independence Square in Accra – days before the scheduled date of the program in order to reserve seats in front, others also called in to reserve their seats at the grounds couple of weeks earlier. On the day of the program, one could tell that the whole atmosphere in the city of Accra was powerfully charged, since the Presence of The Holy Spirit could be felt at the venue, right from the morning; as the stage and other instruments were being mounted, to complete the final preparation towards the program. 

After hours of intense preparation, the stage was set and the venue was ready to commence the program. As of 4pm GMT, the host ground; which was the Independence Square was overflowing with Believers; both the strong and the weak rushed in, this lead to the acquisition of two other available venues nearby, and these were the Accra Sports Stadium and also the grounds of the Parliament House. Despite the provision of the other two venues, the streets were still flooded with people because all three venues were filled up with believers from all around the world. 

On the issue of Law and Order; in regards to crowd, there were Police Officers and Officers from the Military stationed at the entrance of each venue, there were Marshals who aided in the control and overview of the queues formed at each venue, there were also teams of ushers; who handled the evenly distribution of seats to people at the grounds of each venue, and also making movements in all the venues easier and organized. 

Despite the multitude of the crowd and the separate venues, everyone present was able to relate to and feel the Presence of the Holy Spirit, because just as the program commenced, there were performances which a lot of people could relate with. There were song ministrations from the Christ Embassy Church Choir, Sinach, Ada, Brother Eben, among others.

There was a session for testimonies; and many people from all around the world came to share their testimonies and encounter with the HOLY SPIRIT through the WORD OF GOD. What motivated most of the sick people at the grounds, was the testimony acted out in the form of a stage drama – as it entailed a well detailed narration of the accident, incident of healing, and the atmosphere of miracle in a young man’s life. There were other acts like choreography, poem recitals and also a ministration of the gospel in a form of a rap.

The Man of GOD; Pastor Chris, took the Pulpit and delivered the WORD of GOD in a very cool but Powerful way, this changed the approach of most Christians towards their Bibles. He led the crowd into realizing the Truth, Power and Reality of the Word of GOD and the HOLY SPIRIT. Even though many had already received their healing and miracles, a lot more people received theirs when he was teaching and a lot more also after he had prayed for their healing. Testimonies came in from all the three venues; there was absolutely no need for the man of GOD to touch people in order for them to be healed. The Spirit of GOD was everywhere, touching and healing everyone willing and ready to receive.

It was a glorious sight to behold as the blind received their sight, the lame walked; the deaf recovered their hearing senses, fractured bones straightened up, among others.

The words of Pastor Chris on seeing the large crowd at the grounds of the independence square and the stadium were, “Wow! Wow! This is the largest crowd I have ever seen and heard”, because the shouts and roars of the crowd was loud and could be heard along the coastal shores and surrounding environs.

It was indeed a Night of Bliss because till now, partakers still remember it like it was yesterday, because lives has been transformed for the best and my team and I are very glad to have been a part of it……..
